Jiski biwi choti uska bhi bada naam hai, godh me baitha lo bache ka kya kaam hai..”
Even Bollywood has abhorred us. Us? Yes I am Four feet Eleven inches. Often addressed as choti, batli, chota recharge, chutki. Who call us by these names? People who think have put efforts for their good height.
What is the definition of ‘short’? Isn’t it subjective? A person who is Five Feet Six Inches may be short for one or tall for the other. I have not read the definition of ‘short’. Have you? Then you are NOT short.
If you’re a petite woman, forget it — you’re well into a world of cheek taps and “isn’t-she-cute?”
But let’s talk positives, because in my mind, they dwarf the negetives. There are so many great things about life as a short girl, and here are just a few of them.
1. You’re often looking up, literally and figuratively.
2. People have to lower their eyes to talk to us. That depicts respect. “Yes, we are very down to earth”.
3. Everyone loves to hug you, because you’re the perfect size for cuddles.

4. You’ll never had to hold the umbrella as the person with you would always do that, failing which he/she would drench.

5. Heels were something they invented for us. We can wear whatever heels we want. Burn you Giraffes 😈

6. You’ll always be cute. Sexy come and go, while the flattery of being “adorable” will stick to you for life. Yes, try me! 😉
7. You were probably in the front row of your class photo in school. In the front you will NEVER BE FORGOTTEN.
8. While it may show when you gain extra fats, it also shows when you LOSE them.

9. There’s no blanket that’s too short for you.
10. The word “leg space” won’t remind you of any discomfort.

Being short or tall in height should be irrelevant. Let us accept each other the way we are. People would call you something or the other, if you yourself believe you are short then people would make you feel worse..Try saying it aloud that you are short and you are proud of it. Never underestimate the power of small things because big things come in small packages. 😉
