All of us in today’s world are running in the ‘rat race’ to fulfill our dreams, wishes. We strive hard to accomplish them. Most of the times we want something, just because ‘others’ have it. What would be the consequence if we strive to get SO many things, we tend to get ‘Rejected’ at times.
If you are not getting rejected on daily basis, your goals are not ambitious enough- Unknown
What is Rejection? Wikipedia says ‘Rejection means an interpersonal situation that occurs when a person or group of people exclude an individual from a social relationship’.
At times, people do not treat you the way you treat them. Continuous such activity might make us feel bad, low and eventually depressed. Most of us have faced rejection in love..isn’t it? It is human nature to feel bad but the person may not be in love with you or may not accept you. There could be numerous reasons for this. We all keep hearing of cases where a boy commits suicide or would go the extent of causing physical harm to the girl who failed to accept her love. Is this humanity? Just because a person does not act according to your wishes or fantasies you get the right to hurt them? NO.
We start taking rejection in a wrong way and start blaming our luck and sometimes end up taking the support of smoking, alcohol, drugs and what not. Some other to mention is avoiding friends, becoming quiet, seeing negative in everything, losing self-confidence etc. WHY? Just because someone somewhere rejected us? Love is meant to be a pure form of love, it does not come with a guarantee of being loved back. If you are not loved back and you are still able to love someone, that is the real form of love, limitless, boundless most importantly unconditional.

So I do not Blame Any One”― M Kashif Khan
Ofcourse, two sided love is a bonus, just because we have various examples of two sided loves in our surrounding that does not mean, everyone has to be just like them.
Here we present some of the ways on how to overcome rejections.
1) Take Time:
I would never say one would not feel anything, you would certainly feel bad even worse. Try going for a mini vacation, relax and over come the rejection in that grieving period. Give yourself appropriate grieving period. source
2) Lessons Learnt :
Everything happens and would happen for a reason. Do not stop trying. Make note of what went wrong, analyze, study and implement. If you do not do this exercise, rejection would come again.
3) Acceptance:
‘The Early bird catches the worm.’ One cannot control what has happened in the past, certainly what happens next can be controlled. Accept it and move ahead. Be it any kind of rejection.
4) Discuss with your close friend:
Do not keep anything within yourself. Speak out your thoughts. Friends cannot take back whatever happened but the feeling of they being with you can do wonders, trust me.
“A best friend is the only one that walks into your life when the world has walked out.”― Shannon L. Alder
5) Hobby:
We all have wishes, yet to be completed. This could be the perfect time to start up with the old and forgotten hobby which could be a refreshing activity for us.
6) Learn to Let Go :
Learning to let go, forgiveness is the strongest way to come out of the feeling of rejection. Be happy that you tried doing it, instead of feeling sad that it did not happen your ways.
7) Do not Fear Rejection :
Rejections must not stop us from trying. It should never haunt us from doing better or not stopping. source
