Mumbai has innumerable restaurants worth visiting. If you are a person who avoid places that serve non-vegetarian food along with vegetarian, (could be because the kitchen is the same) finding a good restaurant could be a tough task. Non vegetarians do not find good options in veg items hence they prefer eating non veg most of the times they eat out. Fame itself… doesn’t really afford you anything more than a good seat in a restaurant – David Bowie
I have tried to provide a list of some vegetarian restaurants that serve delicious food. This would serve as a list for non veg averse pals and also provide vegetarian options to non veg lovers.
1) Quesso Ristorante :
Quesso is located in Oshiwara, Andheri West. The place is difficult to spot and you would be disappointed with the entrance of the restaurant. However, the ambiance and the food would compensate for it. It serves great Italian food. While every item is delicious, I would specially recommend Fondue and Chilly Cheese Garlic Bread. They also serve complimentary chocolate balls at the end of the meal, which is something worth waiting.
2) Firki:
Firki is popular for Gujarati, Rajasthani, Maharashtrian, North Indian and Street food. It is located in Lower Parel. Be it the ambience or the food, everything is an eye candy. They serve some items not found easily and are almost quite unique some of which are like handwa pizza, sev puri tacos etc.
3) Swati Snacks :
Swati Snacks is popular for its Gujarati food. It is located at Tardeo as well as Nariman Point. You can look forward to items such as Panki chatni, Handvo, Fada Ni Khichdi. If you want to munch on some authentic Gujarati food, this place surely cannot be missed.
4) Mehman Nawazi
It is a rooftop restaurant located at Powai, besides the Breeze Lounge. It not only serves finger licking food but would soothe your pupils by the ambience it owns. It serves North Indian food. Do try the Pan Shots.
5) Vinay Health Home :
When it comes to Maharashtrian Food the first name that comes to my mind is Vinay Health Home, located at Charni Road. Try the Misal Pav and Piyush here. Residing in Maharashtra and not trying misal pav is equvivalent to a sin 😀
6) Status:
Status is located at Nariman Point. One of the best places to visit with your family. It offers enormous variety for both North Indian and South Indian Food. Corn on Toast is a must try.
7) Delhi Highway :
It is located in the Times Square Tower, Andheri Kurla Link Road. It serves North Indian and Mughalai Food. Even the thali is worth a try at A la Carte. It has a wonderful interior that will surely give you a notion mistankely entered a Royal Palace. They have a unique presentation for masala papad. Don’t miss the Dahi Bhalla Chat.
8) Revival:
It is located at Chowpatty. It has a terrace seating and the view is spectacular. Try the Makai Revival which is a glutton’s need when combined with the super delicious garlic mayonnaise dip. Nawab roll is also must try. Have already tried the above then go for the thali, this too would not let your expectations down.
9) Kailash Parbat :
Kailash Parbat has various outlets. Though it serves a variety of items it is well known for the street food and chaat. Try their lip smacking Papdi Chaat. You can also opt for their fixed menu, this either would not disappoint your taste buds.
10) Relish :
Relish is located at Churchgate. Every item on the menu is worth trying. However, the cheese fondue and chocolate Fondue are must try. The name of the restaurant is apt, you will relish each and every item served by them. Further, they also offer candle light dinners every Monday, which is worth experiencing. In case you are planning for a candle light dinner, relish should be on your list.
